Big news today. I have several updates to share with you about upcoming projects and revisiting an old one even! Recently, a close friend and I have formed a writing partnership to help encourage, motivate, and assist each other. That partnership has spawned a renewed interest within me about writing. I have created a writing profile on Facebook to make it easier to keep up with news and updates. Check that out, as I will probably use that a little more often and leave this site more for my short stories.
Speaking of which, I have several ideas for short stories in the works that will be released in the coming months. Three of those short stories will kick off a collaboration with my writing partner, Adam K. Moore. They will be set in the world he created in his first novel, Compendium Twenty-Three, Part I: Through the Valley. They will expand that universe beyond Independence, Indiana, introducing some new characters and providing some back story for characters directly from that series. I cannot recommend reading that book enough.
By the end of this calendar year, my hope and plan is to have a collection of short stories that will be gathered and published in paperback. You might be asking yourself, “Self, why would I buy a collection of short stories that I’ve already read online for free?” And here’s your answer: The stories will be going through some edits and rewrites, so while they may seem familiar, they will be different from what you’ve already seen. Plus, reading printed word is so much easier on the eyes than squinting over a computer monitor. And who knows, maybe there will be a bonus surprise in there.
Lastly, you may remember something being mentioned a long time ago about a cookbook. That project came and went very quietly due to the price of printing in full color being cost prohibitive. Financially, I was unsuccessful in making it work. I have since revisited that project. I have added numerous new recipes making it more substantial, and should hopefully make the project feasible. Look for the release announcement coming soon!
So there we have it. The VERY long overdue update announcement of upcoming projects. I hope you all enjoy reading these things as much as I enjoy writing them!
Thank you, that is all.
